Pasta with tomato sauce

Instructions
- Heat a little olive oil in a pan and sauté the peeled garlic clove until fragrant.
- Add the tomato puree to the pan, along with a bit of water, salt, and sugar to taste. Bring to a boil, then lower the heat and simmer, partially covered, for 20–30 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add a bit of pasta cooking water if the sauce starts to dry out.
- After 10–15 minutes, bring a pot of water to a boil for the pasta. Once boiling, add salt and cook the pasta. Drain well.
- When the sauce is ready, remove the garlic clove, add chopped basil leaves, and stir to combine.
- Add the cooked pasta to the pan with the sauce and cook over medium heat for 2 minutes, stirring frequently to coat the pasta evenly with the sauce.
