Oladyi (Slavic pancakes)

Ingredients (2 servings):

  • Flour100 g
  • Eggs – 1/2
  • Milk – 100 ml
  • White vinegar (6%) – 1 tablespoon
  • Sunflower oil – 1 tablespoon
  • Sugar – 1 tablespoon
  • Salt – 1/4 teaspoon
  • Baking soda – 1/4 teaspoon

Oladyi (Slavic pancakes)

Ingredients (2 servings):

  • Flour100 g
  • Eggs – 1/2
  • Milk – 100 ml
  • White vinegar (6%) – 1 tablespoon
  • Sunflower oil – 1 tablespoon
  • Sugar – 1 tablespoon
  • Salt – 1/4 teaspoon
  • Baking soda – 1/4 teaspoon

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix the vinegar with the milk and let it sit for 10 minutes to sour.
  2. After 10 minutes, add the sifted flour, sugar, salt, baking soda, egg, and oil to the bowl. Mix until smooth.
  3. Heat a little oil in a pan over medium-low heat and spread it evenly over the surface.
  4. Spoon the batter into the pan, forming small pancakes. When bubbles appear on the surface, flip the oladyi and cook for another 30 seconds or until golden.
